We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced vet nurse to join our small animal practice in Yarrawonga on a casual basis.
Fur Life Vet Yarrawonga operates out of our new clinic on the shores of the Murray River in northern Victoria. Our clinic is growing and we are looing for more staff to help us expand.
Our beautiful, purpose-built clinic has 5 consult rooms, dedicated surgical theatre, prep area with 2 stations, diagnostic imaging room, dedicated dog and cat wards, dental room + IM3 equipment, laboratory with IDEXX equipment, and is fully equipped with all the expected bells and whistles.
Our small team prides itself on having a happy and supportive atmosphere in which to practise medicine. Everyone genuinely enjoys coming to work and we have a lovely client base.
Yarrawonga is on the south bank of the Murray River in northern Victoria with Mulwala on the NSW side. It is situated on the iconic Lake Mulwala, therefore, if you enjoy water sports, fishing, river cruising, then this is your inland aquatic paradise!
Thanks to being a tourist destination, there is plenty to keep foodies happy – wineries, lakeside dining and local producers. It is surrounded by small boutique towns so therefore you will never be short of weekend activities. Not to mention it’s close to the ski fields in winter for those who enjoy the snow. It is a welcoming small community and only a short drive to regional centres such as Albury, Wangaratta and Shepparton.
We are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team on a casual basis.
We are looking for a vet nurse who is passionate about implementing their high standards of patient care and can fulfill both hospital and surgical nursing roles.
This is a hands-on nursing role for an experienced nurse; you will need to have the skill set and confidence to monitor anaesthetics, perform pre and post operative procedures, collect and run blood/urine samples in Idexx machines, dental skills, radiology procedures, IV placement, fluid therapy, giving medications, admitting and discharging patients and love all things nursing.
We anticipate at least 1-2 shifts a fortnight with the view to filling in for other shifts as required. This has the potential to increase to more shifts in the future.
If you would like to join us at Fur Life Vet Yarrawonga, then apply here with your resume and a cover letter detailing why you would like to work with our team.
