Fur Life Vet Caboolture has been open for a year now and due to our excellent client base, we have the opportunity for another experienced veterinary nurse to join our team.

Located in a fast-growing new development area in Caboolture in South-East Queensland, the new building has 3 consult rooms, dedicated surgical theatre, prep area with 2 stations, imaging room, dental room, laboratory, and is fully equipped with all the expected bells and whistles so that we can provide a high standard of care to our patients.

Fur Life Vet Caboolture is part of the expanding Apiam Animal Health group of regional and rural clinics that are committed to enriching the lives of animals, people, and communities.

We are looking for a full time, experienced veterinary nurse to complement our team. We will also accept applications from nurses looking for part time work or those that would like to be on a casual roster.

We want a passionate all-rounder to implement their high standards of patient care and have the capability to fulfill surgery, hospital, pathology, treatment, floating and reception shifts.

This is a hands-on nursing role for an experienced nurse; you will need to have the skill set and confidence to place IV catheters, set up fluids, monitor anesthetics to a high standard, perform nurse consults, do basic pathology such as faecal egg counts and love all things nursing.

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree is highly desirable, but we will accept applications from confident and experienced nurses as well.
  • 2+ years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills.
  • Ability to mentor trainee nurses and comfortable with sole charge nursing.
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive workplace culture and continuing to improve and grow our clinic.
  • Generous clinic discounts for your own fur babies.
  • VNCA membership paid for and AVNAT registration encouraged.
  • Access to VetEducation as ongoing CE and upskilling is supported and encouraged.
  • Established in 2022 we are a purpose-built clinic! Think lots of space, new equipment, separate dental room.
  • Access paid Volunteer Leave, extra Parental Leave and Apiam Wellness Day - extra day of annual leave!
  • Discounts from various retail, travel, fitness and health providers (including Kmart and Woolworths!)
  • Work life balance and mental health taken seriously, we have our own Mental Health First Aid Officer and an excellent Employee Assistance Program (free and confidential counselling sessions for you or your immediate family).

At Apiam Animal Health we genuinely support and encourage nurse upskilling and professional development. We offer yearly discussions around career development, free monthly webinars, provide opportunities of secondment to other clinic locations across Australia and career progression pathways.
