Veterinarian- Fur Life Vet Eaglehawk Road & Epsom

Part Time Vet | Companion Animal Position

Working across two clinics in beautiful Bendigo

At Fur Life Vet Eaglehawk Rd and Epsom, we are passionate about providing top-notch care for our furry friends, and we want you to join our vibrant team! With two dynamic clinics in beautiful Bendigo, we’re looking for a dedicated Part-Time Vet to help make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

  • A Passionate, Collaborative Team: At Fur Life Vet, we are more than just coworkers – we’re a family. Our teams across both clinics (Eaglehawk Road & Epsom) work together seamlessly, united by our commitment to outstanding patient care.
  •  A Workplace You’ll Enjoy: Imagine coming to work in a clinic where your colleagues are passionate, skilled, and supportive. Our well-trained staff ensure that each day is a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
  • Excellence in Patient Care: We treat every patient as if they were our own beloved pet. Our approach is all about providing the highest standard of care and delivering the best outcomes possible for every animal that walks through our door.

Fur Life Vet Eaglehawk Rd has been an established clinic for over 40 years with plenty of up-to-date equipment to ensure thorough diagnostic work ups. But if we don’t have it, then our Epsom clinic certainly does with CT scan and Endoscopy to add to the diagnostics in a newer purpose-built building.

We have a highly skilled team including exceptional experienced nurses never leaving your side to support you in your day, plus access to our network of highly experienced Apiam Vets and support staff.

Bendigo has a lot to offer – it’s a vibrant contemporary regional city with all the things a city has to offer – while still maintaining a great country feel. And it’s only 90 minutes from Melbourne! Chose accommodation from a 1-bedroom unit in town to a 20 acre property to bring your menagerie with you. Bendigo caters for all. Sports, arts, bike & walk tracks, so much for human kids or fur kids too.

Enjoy 100% companion animal work with:

  • 100% Companion Animal Work – Focus on what you love!
  • Permanent Part-Time Hours – Enjoy job security, flexible hours, and generous benefits. 3-4 days of work, plus one Saturday morning shift per month (maximum) with optional extra hours available when other vets are on leave.
  • Variety Across Two Clinics – Collaborate with 6 other vets, share knowledge, and expand your skills.
  • An optional on call shift. With the unique set up of most vet clinics in Bendigo looking after each other and sharing on call, there is only one night a week on call to fill between our current six Fur Life Vets. This means there is an option to do this shift if you enjoy Emergency work or chose not to and contribute to the Saturday morning roster instead. This emergency shift involves being in clinic from 6pm-11pm then on call overnight with a nurse with you at all times and Triage nurses taking the calls and taking deposits to ensure your safety.
  • An experienced vet or confident recent graduate who is capable of occasional sole charge
  • A fantastic all-round general practice vet who is keen to provide veterinary services to a high standard.
  • Eager to pursue your special interest and offer that to our patients
  • Someone with a positive and friendly attitude who will complement our team and provide our high standards of patient and client care
