Veterinarian- Fraser Coast Veterinary Services

Are you looking for a great environment to work in?

Do you want to enjoy coming to work and be part of a positive team culture that values you and your wellbeing?

Come to the beautiful Fraser Coast because we are looking for another vet to join our awesome team!

Fraser Coast Veterinary Services is made up of our main clinic in Maryborough and our branch clinic in Howard. We are a long established vet surgery that is well respected in the community.

Our team is made up of 4 vets with a mixture of experience and is supported by an experienced nursing team. Our nurses work hard to make the day run as smoothly as possible and are hands on in assisting the vets with cases. The senior vets hold an ANZCVS membership in surgery and a post grad qualification in Emergency and Critical Care and enjoy working collaboratively, being approachable and love discussing cases.

We pride ourselves on creating a friendly and welcoming clinic environment. We genuinely feel our clinic is a lovely place to come to work and we enjoy sharing our successes as a team. We celebrate our achievements, discuss our challenges and always strive to support each other.

  • Small Animal Only, predominantly based at the main Maryborough surgery.
  • Experienced or recent graduate vets are welcome to apply.
  • Full time position but in an attractive 4-day week, with an extra day off following a rostered weekend. However we can look at part time work as well – We are open to all options that make the position great for you.
  • Shared Afterhours with 1 night a week and 1 weekend in 6 on call (though all calls go through our Vet Triage team which means the nurses take the calls and only ring you if needed and deposit has been taken!)
  • You will be part of a well-established team of 4 vets, with 2-3 vets rostered in clinic on any given day. Our experienced vets are always available over the phone or to assist.
  • Supported by an experienced nursing team, including a nurse rostered for all on call shifts.
  • A varied case load which can be adjusted to your special interests.
  • A well-equipped clinic with a great range of toys– digital radiology (diagnostic and dental), ultrasound, a full in-house laboratory suite (including Idexx Procyte, Catalyst, iStat, Sedivue, Imagyst and coags), anaesthetic monitoring equipment, Bair Huggers & Tono Vet.

You are an experienced or recent graduate small animal general practitioner.  You are a vet who enjoys the challenge of general practice; comfortable going from vaccinations to working up more complex cases, to routine surgery. You have an enthusiasm for offering excellent patient care and client experiences.

As a recent graduate you want to join a team where you will benefit from our experienced staff and our supportive culture. If you are an experienced vet, you enjoy working collaboratively and have an openness to sharing your knowledge. You want to take advantage of our team, facilities and company opportunities to advance your career.
