The rehabilitation team consists of our experienced rehabilitation vet Dr Rebecca Ainsworth BVSc, CCRT, MANSCVS (Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation) and our experienced rehabilitation practitioners Rebecca Leech BAnimalVetBiosc, CCRP and Zoe McCall UK qualified Vet Physio and ACRA practitioner member.
About the Position:
We are seeking a like-minded and passionate rehabilitation focused member to join our team and help us with the growing field of rehabilitation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about implementing their high standards of patient care and can fulfil a role that involves a blend of hands-on care, physical therapy support, and administrative tasks to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients.
Part Time or Full Time fixed term position, with the opportunity to move to a permanent position in the future.
About You:
- You are a compassionate person, with a driven personality and a willingness to expand your knowledge and skillset
- You are experienced in animal handling and have confident communication skills
- You have a positive, friendly and ‘go getter’ attitude who will complement our team and lead by example
- You are comfortable with a dynamic and constantly changing environment and are confident to provide solution based feedback
- You have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- This position would suit a veterinary nurse looking for a different role or someone with a strong interest in animal care and rehabilitation.
- You are an experienced person who has already been working in the animal rehab field or you are someone with a keen interest who wans to learn these new skills.
Duties:
- Patient Care and Consultations: Training provided to the right candidate for hydrotherapy, laser therapy, massage, and other rehabilitation techniques. This position requires manipulation and lifting of medium to large size animals in a safe way.
- Administrative duties: client communication both verbal and written, client follow up (handouts, summaries), clear and precise note taking
- Clinic Maintenance: including general day to day cleaning, larger cleaning tasks on weekly or monthly basis, larger equipment maintenance and cleaning
