About us:
We are a well-established and progressive mixed practice veterinary clinic offering general veterinary services for patients in the Hunter Valley.
Our dynamic team currently consists of 7 full-time vets and 16 nurses and reception staff. There is always another vet available for a second opinion and we enjoy working together on cases.
The practice sees a great surgical caseload, providing the opportunity to develop and hone your surgical skills, with the option to undertake and learn orthopaedics if desired.
Singleton Veterinary Hospital is located in the large riverside town of Singleton in the Hunter Valley. There are all the amenities you need, along with wine tasting, heritage walks and much more! The area is approximately 2 hours from Sydney and just over an hour from the Newcastle coastline.
About the position:
- Our case load is approx. 80% small animal, 20% large animals, including beef, dairy and equine work. There is the option to tailor the position depending on your interests.
- Full time position worked as a four-day week. Opportunity for part time work as well- reach out to discuss what you are looking for.
- Purpose built vet clinic with all the latest equipment including state-of-the-art My Lab US, digital radiography, Idexx lab, orthopaedic equipment etc.
- Team dynamic is very supportive with wide skill set amongst the existing vets
- After-hours is shared amongst the team and remunerated very well. It is also supported by our Vetriage service (and this is where you see all the interesting cases!)
About you:
We are looking for positive individuals who are capable of working efficiently and conscientiously within a team environment. Looking after our team members is very important to us and we pride ourselves on the support we give to recent graduates. We have extensive experience in student placement programs and have received awards related to this with Sydney University. The practice provides 24/7 support to all of our vets. In particular, we encourage recent graduates to undertake challenging medical and surgical cases with full support and assistance.

What we can offer:
- Salary range offered is dependent on skills and experience however a new graduate or recent graduate vet can expect upwards of $75,000 + super + after hours bonuses. An experienced vet can expect upwards of $95,000 + super + after hours bonuses.
