We are a well-established small animal clinic located in Gladstone, Qld. We have a very experienced team of vets, nurses and receptionists who pride themselves on working together as a team and the care they give the clients and patients in their local community.

The clinic is well equipped with digital x-ray, IM3 dental, dental x-ray, Idexx biochemistry and haematology, Imagyst cytology, in house laboratory, excellent working relationship with local pathology lab, ultrasound and everything you could ask for to be an excellent vet. 

For recent graduates, our regional small animal clinic is a great way to quickly get experience in a broad range of medical, surgical and emergency cases.  You will not just be doing vaccinations all day; we really do get to see it all here with the closest specialist centres for referral 6hrs away.

We provide full support with an experienced and dedicated mentor.  You will also benefit from the which supports your transition from uni to practice.

Gladstone is a fantastic part of Queensland that people often don’t get to appreciate. We have everything here from beach to bush to the perfect climate. You can spend days exploring beaches, swimming in waterholes, watching dolphins and turtles, walking around the award-winning parklands or having dinner at beautiful East Shores.   • New Graduate or Recent Graduate Position
  • Full time position worked as a 4-day week with flexible rostering. Time off in lieu of working Saturday mornings. 
  • After hours shared by all vets and another Apiam clinic once you are ready. This means only 2 weeknights on call per month and every 6th weekend on call.  Plus our dedicated Apiam triage service to filter the non-urgent calls.
  • Team dynamic is very supportive with wide skill set amongst the existing vets to help mentor and train you.
  • Consult times blocked out to allow further workup / research / notes /patient follow up care to allow you to learn how to be an awesome vet.

We are looking for positive individuals who are capable of working efficiently and conscientiously within a team environment. Our team is very supportive and enjoy learning from each other. We generally work together to manage our cases as a veterinary team rather than working alone on individual cases.

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person with great communication skills and a friendly and positive attitude to work. We want someone who is prepared to take advantage of the opportunities available from our clinic and our company and be proactive in their development. We are a bustling clinic so we need someone who is ready to be part of a team that supports each other with our daily case load.
